Rosemary Essential Oils: Slow Down Premature Hair Loss And Greying of Hair

It is anti-spasmodic in nature and can relieve excessive contractions in the muscles and joints. It is used extensively against cramps, sore muscles and headaches. Vapour baths with rosemary oil are found to be effective for rheumatism and arthritis.

This oil has astringent properties as well and is useful for skin care. The oil helps in toning your skin, encouraging dry skin to produce oil but controlling greasiness in oily skin at the same time. Mix few drops of this oil in a bowl of water before applying it to the skin.

Rosemary essential oil can be used for head massages as well. This is because it helps in stimulating hair follicles due to which the hair texture improves and becomes stronger. This massaging is also beneficial for dry and flaky scalps. It is also believed that rosemary oil can slow down premature hair loss and greying of hair.

Overuse of this oil could result in adverse reactions such as nervous twitches or muscle spasms. Thus, this oil should be used with caution. Moreover, take care while using this essential oil as it is potentially toxic if ingested.
